What is VIVIPOS and who should buy it?
The VIVIPOS PCR is a simple to use, low priced and reliable touch screen system that contains the functionality required by the majority of independent retailing and hospitality businesses.
It has the power and performance of a PC terminal combined with the lower price, reliability and simplicity of a cash register and is suitable for most retail and hospitality applications.
If you are a person who needs the features and capability associated with PC systems but you are not prepared to pay the price normally associated with 3rd party software such as support and other complications then VIVIPOS is the simple solution.
Why is the price so attractive?
FEC in association with Geller have developed the VIVIPOS with its own embedded application software suitable for all countries. They have eliminated the need to use 3rd party operating systems such as Windows and also 3rd party application software.
LINUX is a free operating system and FEC developed the application software and included it at no extra cost.
Geller's input has been to make it right for the UK and Republic of Ireland.
A flair for design plus respect for quality.
The thoughtful design features a charcoal grey bezel with an attractive red trim surround that also serves to direct any liquid spillage to the side and prevent it from entering the unit.
The small footprint takes up minimum counter space and the rear display and magnetic card reader are standard features.
Built with the relentless attention to quality that is a hallmark of FEC products, the VIVIPOS has been designed with no moving parts to maximise reliability. It is built with industrial grade components, the CPU is fanless and it incorporates an SSD (solid state disk) hard drive.
Belt and braces protection- 3 levels of back up for ultimate security.
Vivipos is preprogrammed so that backups take place automatically at 6am every day - or the next time the unit is switched on after 6am. A backup is therefore never more than 24 hours old.
An additional backup device is provided in the form of an on board Compact Flash Card that can be easily accessed via the HDD access panel. If the Vivipos is seriously damaged by fire, flood or burglary etc the flash disc can be removed and fitted in a replacement Vivipos.
You can additionally back up to a USB memory stick via the USB port at the front of the VIVIPOS so that backups can be stored off site.
Intelligent design does away with complication
Cleverly designed screen layouts provide instant understanding of procedures. For example when staff clock in, they see a traditional clock-in board with cards in a rack.
Pre-defined appropriate screen layouts are available for various applications, for example a restaurant layout or a retail layout. Changing colours, buttons, button sizes etc is childs play.
Networking is clever, simple & reliable.
Sales reports can be viewed from any terminal. All terminals are programmed from a master terminal and programming updates can be prepared in advance to take effect on a specific date if necessary.
