Stand alone Scanning System: We would suggest either the ML-790 (top left) or the SX-695 (above right) for a proper stand alone scanning system. Both loaded with the Geller Superscan System.
Both tills are very powerful and not too expensive.
Both use the Geller Superscan system which has been around now for a number of years and has also been used on the ET-6600, ET-6800, SX-680, ML-780 and the Merlin MP2 machines over the years.
Superscan is the most user friendly & powerful stand alone scanning system available today. It is childs play to use and has a lot of features to offer such as Stock Control, a simple Re-order System, Best Sellers, Worst Sellers, Shelf-edge Labels etc.
The ML-790 has a few extra features over the SX-690. The main advantages would be the VDU display which as well as giving a visual itemised display of the sale in progress can also be used for menus such as listing a menu of breads or fresh cakes or fruit etc. on the screen.
You can also link a scales to both the ML-790 and the SX-695 which eliminates the need for a costly label printing scales.
Both tills have IRC as standard, which means that they link together and you only have to program one and the other is programmed automatically. The same applies to end of day reads. You only have to read the one and it automatically reads the other.
