Electronic Journal and the Revenue (Tax)
The Revenue Tax Department is putting a lot of pressure on all sorts of retailers at the moment, especially publicans to produce audit rolls or preferably an electronic journal of all their business. Journal/Audit rolls are a nuisance especially if you have to hold them for several years.
A Flash Card is the answer.
A number of our Geller Cash Registers have the facility to use a Flash Card to store the electronic journal. (SX-695 & ML-790) You simply insert the flash card into the slot on the front of the cash register, turn the key to 'Z' and select the option to 'SAVE to Flash Card & Delete'. The electronic journal is saved to the card and deleted from the till at the same time. The flash card itself (or a separate one for each till) can be supplied to the revenue on demand. The Flash Card can also be inserted into your PC where the journal can be saved and viewed in a spreadsheet format such as Excel etc.
More on the Flash Card Electronic Journal with David Utility. There is also an excellent feature in the Geller David Utility that enables downloading and viewing of electronic journal data.
