ML-790 Features
The ML-790 is very popular in bars, restaurants and also in retail applications.
Bars & Restaurants. The impressive VDU display allows for menus on the screen which are extremely useful for bars & restaurants where literally hundreds of items can be accessed including sending numerous kitchen instructions/items & condiments to a kitchen printer. For example, press Cocktail and a numbered list of cocktails will appear on the display. Select a cocktail by entering its number. In a restaurant application you could press Steak, choose the steak type, select from a list of cooking instructions, then select from a list of veg etc.etc. If you have a number of machines linked you could enter a table order to any machine, add to the order from another machine and print the bill or finalise the sale from another.
Retail Applications.The ML-790 comes with a raised or flat keyboard. It is a very powerful machine in a retail scanning environment with the ability to link to a scales, scanner, remote printers & back office software. It also has IRC which means that it can link to other ML-790s. The VDU screen is also very useful for displaying numbered lists of items not normally barcoded such as bread, veg, cakes or even a list of newspapers where you now have the option of scanning or manually selecting from a list.
