Flash Card Explained

Explain the Flash Card

Each time the electronic journal is saved onto the flash card it creates a DAT file.
The file name format is as follows:  Jyymmddx.DAT
J = Journal.  yy = Year,  mm = Month, dd = Day and x = Incremental number
The incremental number starts at Zero but increases by 1 each time the jornal is read on the same day.
If a journal were recorded on June 3rd 2008 the file name would be J0106080.DAT
If a 2nd journal were taken on the same day the incremental number would increase by 1. (J0106081.DAT)

The DAT file is a basic text file. Any word processor package or Windows Notepad can read the file.
